Beer Soup With Milk

Total Time: 12 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 7 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 pints milk
  • 1 pint beer
  • 1 ounce flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pints water
  • 3 ounces currants
  • 3 ounces sugar
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten

Recipe

  • 1 cook water, beer, currants and flour.
  • 2 cook milk separately, take both mixtures off fire and mix.
  • 3 add egg yolk and stir.
  • 4 add a little cinnamon (some prefer nutmeg).
  • 5 put croutons in soup bowl and pour soup over.
  • 6 let stand for a while.
