Challah French Toast

Ingredients

- 6 slices challah
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon grated orange zest (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon oil
Recipe
- 1 whisk eggs and milk.
- 2 add orange zest, honey and vanilla. add salt and cinnamon.
- 3 soak bread slices for 5-6 minutes, turning once.
- 4 melt unsalted butter and oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.add the bread and cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until browned.
