Breakfast Puffs

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease or line with paper 12 muffin cups.
  • 3 in large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg, set aside.
  • 4 in separate large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening.
  • 5 add eggs to creamed mixture and mix again.
  • 6 alternate adding 1/3 of flour mixture and 1/3 of milk to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.
  • 7 fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
  • 8 bake 20-25 min, until golden.
  • 9 remove from pan and set aside.
  • 10 coating:.
  • 11 melt butter.
  • 12 combine cinnamon and sugar.
  • 13 dip warm muffins in butter, coating well.
  • 14 roll coated muffin in cinnamon and sugar mixure.
