Butter Chicken

Total Time: 4 hrs 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs chicken, boneless and skinless
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 6 cardamom pods, bruised
  • 1 1/2 cups tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/4 cup plain yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 trim fat from chicken and cube.
  • 2 in crockpot first 9 ingredients and cook on low for 4 hours.
  • 3 combine yoghurt and cornstarch.
  • 4 turn slow cooker to high and add yoghurt mixture along with remaining ingredients.
  • 5 cook another 10 min or until sauce has thickened.
  • 6 serve with steamed rice.
