Apple & Cream Pie

Ingredients
- 4 medium cooking apples, peeled,cored,quartered
- 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
- 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, for topping (optional)
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
- 2 slice apples, either in your cuisinart or by hand.
- 3 transfer slices to pie crust.
- 4 mix cream, sugar, egg, flour and seasonings thoroughly for about 10 seconds (in a food processor or with a mixer).
- 5 pour over apple slices.
- 6 sprinkle top with walnuts.
- 7 bake for 10 minutes at 450 f; reduce heat to 350 f.
- 8 bake until apples are tender, 35 to 40 minutes longer.
