Apple & Cream Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 medium cooking apples, peeled,cored,quartered
  • 1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
  • 3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, for topping (optional)
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
  • 2 slice apples, either in your cuisinart or by hand.
  • 3 transfer slices to pie crust.
  • 4 mix cream, sugar, egg, flour and seasonings thoroughly for about 10 seconds (in a food processor or with a mixer).
  • 5 pour over apple slices.
  • 6 sprinkle top with walnuts.
  • 7 bake for 10 minutes at 450 f; reduce heat to 350 f.
  • 8 bake until apples are tender, 35 to 40 minutes longer.
