Apple Crisp With Butter-praline Topping

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups peeled cored and thinly sliced tart apples (about 5 large)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces (1/2 stick)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 butter 11-inch round pie pan.
  • 3 combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in large bowl.
  • 4 mix in apples,raisins and lemon juice; transfer to prepared pie pan.
  • 5 combine flour and remaining 1/2 cup sugar in medium bowl.
  • 6 cut in butter until mixture resembles fine meal; stir in pecans.
  • 7 sprinkle over apples in pan.
  • 8 bake until apples are tender and topping is browned, 50 minutes.
  • 9 serve warm with ice cream or creme fraiche.
