Aunt Tammy's Butterscotch Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 granny smith apples, peeld and roughly chopped
  • 1 (11 ounce) bag butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. butter 2 quart baking dish.
  • 2 filling: toss apples, butterscotch chips, flour cinnamon, allspice and lemon juice together. add to buttered baking dish and dot with butter.
  • 3 topping: combine flour, sugar, oats and salt. blend butter into mix until it forms pea sized lumps. stir in pecans and sprinkle over filling.
  • 4 bake about 45 minutes.
