Aunt Tammy's Butterscotch Apple Crisp

- 5 granny smith apples, peeld and roughly chopped
- 1 (11 ounce) bag butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. butter 2 quart baking dish.
- 2 filling: toss apples, butterscotch chips, flour cinnamon, allspice and lemon juice together. add to buttered baking dish and dot with butter.
- 3 topping: combine flour, sugar, oats and salt. blend butter into mix until it forms pea sized lumps. stir in pecans and sprinkle over filling.
- 4 bake about 45 minutes.
