Aidan's Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups self raising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 90 g butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 bananas, very ripe mashed
- 1 1/2 cups nuts (i use walnuts and sunflower seeds)
Recipe
- 1 sift together salt, flour and spices.
- 2 cream butter and sugar, then add the eggs one at a time, beating well.
- 3 beat mixture until light and fluffy.
- 4 add sifted flour and spices and bananas to creamed mixture, combining lightly.
- 5 fold in nuts.
- 6 turn the mixture into a well greased loaf tin bake in a moderate oven (180c-200c) for 50 to 60 minutes.
- 7 cool in the tin.
- 8 can be iced with a cream cheese frosting or lemon icing.
