Apple Crumb Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shells
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 cups pecan shortbread cookies, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven 450°f.
  • 2 pour pie filling into pastry shell. sprinkle with cinnamon and dot with 1 tablespoon butter.
  • 3 melt remaining butter.
  • 4 place cookie crumbs in a small bowl; stir in butter until coarse crumbs form. sprinkle over filling. cover edges of pastry loosely with foil.
  • 5 bake at 450°f for 10 minutes. reduce heat to 350 f.; remove foil and bake for 40-45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling bubbly. cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours.
