Cherry Dumplings

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
- milk
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 cups biscuit mix
Recipe
- 1 stir together water, lemon juice, cinnamon and cloves.
- 2 stir in pie filling and bring to a boil in a 10 inch skillet.
- 3 add enough milk to the egg to make 1/2 cup.
- 4 stir into the biscuit mix to make a soft dough.
- 5 drop dough by tablespoons on top of the boiling fruit.
- 6 simmer on low heat about 10 minutes more.
- 7 serve warm (scoop fruit over top dumplings in a bowl). serve with cream if desired.
