Apple Crumb Topping Pie

Ingredients
- 1 pie shell
- 4 large tart apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup hard butter
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet, sauté sliced apples in butter until crisp tender, about 10 minutes.
- 2 remove from heat; cool for 10 minutes.
- 3 combine sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples and mix well to coat.
- 4 place in unbaked pie shell.
- 5 mix together flour, oatmeal, brown sugar and salt.
- 6 cut in butter until resembles fine crumbs.
- 7 place crumb mixture on top of apples and bake at 350°f for 30-35 minutes.
