Apple Cream Pie

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled, cored baking apples, sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 9" unbaked pie shell
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon, rind of
  • ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 .
  • 2 place the apples in the pie shell.
  • 3 in a small bowl mix the sugar and flour, stir in the cream until smooth and pour over apples .
  • 4 sprinkle with the cinnamon and nuts .
  • 5 bake at 400 for 40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean .
  • 6 cool on a wire rack-chill in the fridge .
