Bavarian Pear Tart

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup oleo
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup nuts
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese or 1 (8 ounce) package light cream cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (15 ounce) can bartlett pears, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 made with a springform pan with bottom release.
  • 2 bottom crust: mix butter and sugar well.
  • 3 add vanilla, flour and nuts.
  • 4 press in bottom of pan; bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 5 set aside.
  • 6 filling: add all ingredients and beat smooth, pour over crust.
  • 7 topping: drain and slice each pear half into eights, place on filling.
  • 8 springle with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
