Autumn Pumpkin Spice 4 Layer Bars

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cold butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped,finely
  • 1 (27 ounce) jar mincemeat (regular,rum or brandy)
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 435.
  • 2 combine the sugars,flour,then butter.
  • 3 combine until it is crumbly.
  • 4 stir in the nuts,and set aside 1 1/2 cups of mixture.
  • 5 press the remaining mixture into a 13x9 baking dish,including half up sides of dish.
  • 6 pour the mincemeat over crust.
  • 7 combine the remaining ingredients,except crumb mix,and mix well.
  • 8 pour over the mincemeat layer.
  • 9 spread the remaining crumb mixture over that.
  • 10 bake for 15 minutes,and reduce the heat to 350.
  • 11 bake 40 minutes,or until golden brown on edges.
  • 12 let cool,cut into bars.
