Apple Raisin Scones

Ingredients
- Servings: 9
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup apple, peeled, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 4 -5 tablespoons apple juice, cold or 4 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400 deg f.
- 2 mix together dry ingredients.
- 3 cut in shortening as you would for a pie crust.
- 4 stir in apples and raisins.
- 5 add enough juice to make a stiff dough.
- 6 on floured surface, roll dough about 1/2" thick.apprx. 8 in circle.
- 7 cut into triangles and bake on cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes, or until light brown.
- 8 remove from oven and dust with 1 tbsp confectioners sugar.
- 9 let cool.
- 10 separte triangles.
