Banana Sauce

Ingredients

- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 firm bananas, sliced 1/4-inch thick
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 melt the butter in a saucepan.
- 2 add the bananas to the hot butter.
- 3 let cook for about 2 minutes.
- 4 add the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- 5 cook over medium heat until the sugar begins to caramelize, about 2 to 3 minutes. add the vanilla.
- 6 add pecans just before serving.
- 7 serve warm or at room temperature.
- 8 makes about 1 1/2 cups.
