Bayou Pie Crust

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 tablespoons cold water
Recipe
- 1 combine dry ingredients.
- 2 mix in shortening and cheese until mixture resembles cornmeal.
- 3 this can be done in your food processor on pulse, or with a pastry cutter.
- 4 sprinkle one tablespoon of water at a time over mixture until dough is moistened and holds together.
- 5 handle lightly.
- 6 divide dough in half.
- 7 roll out on floured surface to a 12 inch circle.
- 8 makes a 9" double crust.
- 9 for a single baked pie crust, bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
