Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 (16 ounce) cinnamon-raisin bread
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 coat 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  • 3 diagonally cut bread slices in half to make triangles.
  • 4 arrange 1/3 of the bread in bottom of pan slightly overlapping.
  • 5 sprinkle with 1/4 cups semi sweet morsels.
  • 6 repeat layers with remaining bread and semi sweet morsels, ending with semi sweet morsels.
  • 7 whisk half and half with eggs, sugar and vanilla extract.
  • 8 evenly pour over bread.
  • 9 cover with aluminun foil.
  • 10 let sit for 10 minutes.
  • 11 bake for 30 minutes.
  • 12 remove foil.
  • 13 bake for 25 minutes or golden brown.
  • 14 let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
  • 15 serve with vanilla ice cream.
