Cider Apple Pie

Ingredients

- 3 cups apple cider
- 6 large apples, pared, cored and sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon caraway seed
- 2 pie crusts
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 425.
- 2 bring cider to boil.
- 3 cook over medium heat 25 minutes.
- 4 stir apples in cider.
- 5 boil 5 minutes or until apples begin to soften.
- 6 remove from heat.
- 7 stir in sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and caraway seed.
- 8 pour mixture into pie shell.
- 9 with second pie crust cut our lattice strips.
- 10 arrange lettice on top.
- 11 bake 20 minutes or until pastry is browned.
