Braised Lamb Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 55 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup cold water
  • 4 thick lamb chops
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 pinch cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 mix the flour and water to make a smooth paste.
  • 2 in a frying pan, add the lamb chops, water and onion and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.
  • 3 remove chops from the pan. add the flour paste into the stock and cook, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • 4 return the meat to the sauce along with the seasoning.
  • 5 cook, covered, over a low heat for 1-1/2 hours or until the chops are tender.
