Amish Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 2 cups dry bread
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 pint cream or 1 pint milk
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 teaspoons butter
- 1 pinch salt
Recipe
- 1 soak torn bread in cream.
- 2 add sugar and butter, beaten eggs, cinnamon, salt and vanilla, stirring to blend.
- 3 put into a buttered baking dish.
- 4 may add a little chopped citron, chopped raisins or dates if you wish.
- 5 bake approximately 40 minutes in a 375 oven.
