Chili Sauce Ii

Ingredients
- 13 lbs tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 lb celery
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 quart onion, chopped
- 2 lbs brown sugar
- 3 green peppers
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/2 tablespoon clove, ground
- 1 quart cider vinegar
Recipe
- 1 scald, then peel tomatoes; cook 15 minutes.
- 2 drain off half juice.
- 3 chop remaining vegetables; add tomatoes; simmer about 90 minutes.
- 4 tie spices in cloth bag.
- 5 add bag of spices and remaining ingredients to tomato mixture.
- 6 continue cooking 90 minutes.
- 7 remove bag of spices; seal mixture in hot, sterilized jars.
