Chai (indian Tea)

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups milk
  • sugar
  • 6 teaspoons tea leaves
  • 8 green peppercorns
  • 6 cloves
  • 6 green cardamom pods
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon anise seed

Recipe

  • 1 heat water in a pan.
  • 2 add sugar, peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and aniseed and bring to a boil.
  • 3 reduce heat and let boil for 5 minutes.
  • 4 add tea leaves and milk and bring to boil.
  • 5 simmer on stove top for 30 minutes.
  • 6 strain into cups.
