Cape Cod Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup melted shortening
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 3/4 cups oatmeal
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350*.
- 2 in a medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, soda, salt and cinnamon.
- 3 in a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
- 4 incorporate flour mixture into oat mixture (with wooden spoon) until well blended.
- 5 drop cookie dough by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets.
- 6 bake for approx.
- 7 12 minutes, or until the edges turn slightly brown.
- 8 cool on wire racks.
- 9 store in tightly covered container.
