Caramel Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 slices day-old bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f. grease a 8- x 8-inch baking dish.
- 2 place bread cubes in prepared baking dish. combine water and brown sugar and pour over bread.
- 3 combine remaining ingredients and pour over bread.
- 4 bake in preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes up clean.
- 5 serve warm or cold. it's great with ice cream or whipped cream.
