Blackberry Iced Tea With Cinnamon And Ginger

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 cups water
  • 12 blackberry herbal tea bags
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1 cup unsweetened cranberry juice
  • sugar substitute, to taste
  • ice cube, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, heat water to just before boiling.
  • 2 add tea bags, 2 of the cinnamon sticks and ginger.
  • 3 remove from heat, cover and let steep for about 15 minutes.
  • 4 pass the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, placed over a pitcher.
  • 5 add the juice and sweetener to taste.
  • 6 refrigerate until very cold.
  • 7 to serve, fill 6 tall, chilled glasses with crushed ice.
  • 8 pour the tea over the top of the ice and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
  • 9 serve immediately.
