Cinnamon Cake

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup hot milk (not boiling)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 cream eggs, sugar and salt.
  • 3 heat milk and butter until hot, but do not boil.
  • 4 add milk very slowly to egg mixture, beating mixture constantly so you don't"scramble" the eggs.
  • 5 blend flour and baking powder together and stir into mixture.
  • 6 mix well, the batter will be runny.
  • 7 pour into 9x13 inch greased pan and bake for 35 minutes.
  • 8 remove from oven and immediately rub the top of the cake with the stick of butter until completely melted.
  • 9 mix together cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle evenly onto the top of the cake.
  • 10 cool cake to room temperature, or serve it warm.
