Cinnamon Bun Scones

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup oats, steel cut
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425.
  • 2 mix flour, oats, 1/4 c sugar, baking powder & salt.
  • 3 cut butter into small pieces and mix with a pastry blender or fork until mixture is crumbly.
  • 4 beat milk, egg, & vanilla together and add to other ingredients.
  • 5 spoon batter into a non stick scone pan.
  • 6 mix together 2t sugar, and 2t cinnamon, and sprinkle over scones.
  • 7 bake 11-13 minutes, or until tops of scones just start to brown.
