Caramel Crunch

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 28 vanilla caramels
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 cups green apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 melt caramels with water in double boiler until smooth.
  • 2 layer apples and sauce in pie shell.
  • 3 combine flour, sugar and cinnamon.
  • 4 cut in butter until crumbly.
  • 5 stir in nuts.
  • 6 sprinkle over top of pie.
  • 7 bake at 375 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until apples are tender.
