pulled lamb ya'll

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 (5 pound) boneless lamb shoulder, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce

    Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

    Ready Time: 6 hrs 30 mins

  • set a slow cooker to low. combine water and vinegar together in the slow cooker.
  • rub oil over entire lamb shoulder and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • mix brown sugar, seasoned salt, black pepper, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cinnamon together in a bowl; rub over entire lamb shoulder. place lamb shoulder into the slow cooker.
  • cook on low, 6 to 8 hours.
  • transfer lamb shoulder to a work surface and let rest for 10 minutes. discard cooking liquid from slow cooker. place lamb back into the slow cooker and shred; add barbeque sauce and stir.
