Cinnamon Cream Roll-ups

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 21 mins Cook Time: 19 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 loaf sandwich bread, crusts removed (i buy the crustless loaf - saves time)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted

Recipe

  • 1 in a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, egg yolk and 1/4 c sugar; mix well.
  • 2 flatten bread slices with a rolling pin.
  • 3 spread cream cheese over each slice to within 1/2 inch of edges.
  • 4 roll up diagonally from point to point.
  • 5 in a shallow bowl, combine the cinnamon and 1 c sugar.
  • 6 dip roll-ups in the melted butter, then in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • 7 place in an ungreased 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  • 8 bake at 350 degrees for 16-19 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 9 remove to wire racks to cool.
