Caramel Bread Pudding

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 slices bread, day-old, cut into 1/2 inch cubes (about 7 cups)
- 1 cup water, hot
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups milk, warm
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 place bread in greased 2-qt. baking dish.
- 2 combine water and brown sugar; pour over bread.
- 3 combine remaining ingredients; pour over bread.
- 4 bake at 350 degrees f for 50-60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- 5 serve warm or cold.
