Cinnamon Buttons

Total Time: 2 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup superfine sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 place the butter, almonds, and sugar into a large bowl
  • 2 beat with an electric mixer on medium speed or until light and fluffy.
  • 3 add the flour.
  • 4 mix for 2 minutes, or until completely incorporated.
  • 5 cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • 6 preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
  • 7 place the superfine sugar and cinnamon into a shallow bowl.
  • 8 mix well.
  • 9 scoop or roll the cookies into 3/4-inch balls
  • 10 place them about 1 inch apart n an ungreased baking sheet
  • 11 bake for 20 minutes, or until they just start to brown on the edges.
  • 12 cool for about 5 minutes
  • 13 roll them in cinnamon sugar.
  • 14 cool on parchment or waxed paper.
