Cinnamon Breakfast Apples

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 -5 large cooking apples (such as granny smith)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- 2 pare apples and chop into bite sized pieces.
- 3 put in a 4 c measure and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar as you add the apples.
- 4 when you have 4 cups, put apples, water and butter into a saucepan.
- 5 cover and cook over low to medium heat, stirring once or twice, for 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender.
