Cinnamon Breakfast Apples

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 4 -5 large cooking apples (such as granny smith)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • 2 pare apples and chop into bite sized pieces.
  • 3 put in a 4 c measure and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar as you add the apples.
  • 4 when you have 4 cups, put apples, water and butter into a saucepan.
  • 5 cover and cook over low to medium heat, stirring once or twice, for 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender.
