Ingredients
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 10 whole cloves
- 3/4 cup burgundy wine or 3/4 cup dry red wine
Recipe
- 1 combine syrup and honey in medium saucepan and bring to boil.
- 2 add peel, cinnamon and cloves and remove from heat.
- 3 cover and cool completely; stir in wine.
- 4 strain sauce and store in airtight container.
