Burgundy Wine And Honey Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 3/4 cup burgundy wine or 3/4 cup dry red wine

Recipe

  • 1 combine syrup and honey in medium saucepan and bring to boil.
  • 2 add peel, cinnamon and cloves and remove from heat.
  • 3 cover and cool completely; stir in wine.
  • 4 strain sauce and store in airtight container.
