Chewy, Low Fat, Alternative Flour Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 1 cup spelt flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 2 bananas
- 1/3 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup dried cranberries
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- 2 in large bowl, cream margarine, baking soda, ginger, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg until combined.
- 3 add sugar and egg and mix until blended.
- 4 mash bananas and add to bowl with applesauce.
- 5 add oats and flour.
- 6 add chocolate chips, sunflower seeds and raisins.
- 7 bake for 10 minutes. cookies will be chewy and delicious!
