Chewy, Low Fat, Alternative Flour Cookies

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup spelt flour
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup raisins or 1/4 cup dried cranberries

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in large bowl, cream margarine, baking soda, ginger, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg until combined.
  • 3 add sugar and egg and mix until blended.
  • 4 mash bananas and add to bowl with applesauce.
  • 5 add oats and flour.
  • 6 add chocolate chips, sunflower seeds and raisins.
  • 7 bake for 10 minutes. cookies will be chewy and delicious!
