Chef-boy-i-be-illinois' Maple Stewed Apples

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 apples, peeled cored and sliced
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice

Recipe

  • 1 bring apples, syrup, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon to a simmer and simmer covered until apples are tender 10-15 minutes.
  • 2 combine cornstarch and apple juice and add to stewed apples to thicken the sauce.
  • 3 serve warm.
