Candy Apple Pie

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 5 granny smith apples, peeled cored,sliced thin
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream, whipped
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup caramel topping
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
- 1 crust:mix first 4 ingredients and press into a 10 inch pie pan up sides also.
- 2 bake 375° for 6-8 minutes or golden.
- 3 remove and cool.
- 4 pour caramel in bottom of crust and sprinkle with pecans,chill.
- 5 filling:in a large skillet melt butter add brown sugar,salt,cinnamon add apples cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender cool 10 minutes pour into pie shel.
- 6 topping:with a mixer beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth add egg,lemon juice,and vanilla pour over apple filling.
- 7 bake 30 minutes until knife comes out clean.
- 8 let cool and chill 4 hours then room temp.
- 9 30 minutes.
- 10 topping:top with whipped cream caramel and pecans and swirl with a knife.
- 11 slice and serve.
