Aunt Ann's Swedish Glug Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon muscatel wine
  • 1 cup pitted prunes
  • 1 cup raisins (dark or light)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 -15 whole cloves
  • 2 oranges, dried peels from
  • 1/2 cup almonds, sliced thin
  • 2 dozen cardamom seeds
  • 10 ounces vodka

Recipe

  • 1 put all ingredients (except vodka) into large stainless steel or non reactive pot. bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 (one) hour, stir gently. remove cloves, cinnamon, orange peel and cardamon seeds. add vodka and stir.
  • 2 serve slightly warm, if your guest like raisin and/or prunes add a few to each serving. this punch can be reheated.
