Apple Cream Cheese Tart

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces sugar
  • 1 lb butter
  • 2 ounces eggs
  • 1 1/2 lbs pastry flour
  • 1 1/2 lbs cream cheese
  • 6 ounces sugar
  • 1/8 ounce lemon zest
  • 6 ounces eggs
  • 2 lbs granny smith apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
  • 9 ounces sugar
  • 3 ounces cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 tart:.
  • 2 cream sugar and butter with paddle until fluffy.
  • 3 add eggs in one at a time to full incorporate.
  • 4 slowly add pastry flour.
  • 5 wrap and refrigerate for at least six hours.
  • 6 roll out 1/2 in thick.
  • 7 place in tart shell. make sure there are no air bubbles.
  • 8 cream cheese filling:.
  • 9 cream sugar and cream cheese using paddle attachment.
  • 10 add lemon zest.
  • 11 add eggs in one at a time to fully incorporate.
  • 12 spread filling in an unbaked tart shell.
  • 13 apples:.
  • 14 mix sugar and cinnamon with apples.
  • 15 place in a symmetrical pattern on top of filling (can also add nuts on top).
  • 16 bake at 375 f until golden brown and set.
