Cinnamon Candied Walnuts

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 lb walnut halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f. spread nuts in a single layer over a baking sheet and roast for about 8-10 minutes.
  • 2 stir together sugar, cinnamon, salt and milk in a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes or until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage of 236°f remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • 3 add walnuts to sugar syrup and stir to coat well. spoon nuts onto waxed paper lined sheet pan and separate with fork.
  • 4 cool and store in an airtight container.
