Cinnamon Cake

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 sift the first four ingredients together.
  • 2 cream butter until softened.
  • 3 add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy.
  • 4 beat the egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored.
  • 5 add to creamed mixture and beat well.
  • 6 alternately add the dry ingredients in thirds and the milk in halves to creamed mixture.
  • 7 turn batter into 2 well-greased 8 inch round layer cake pans.
  • 8 bake at 375 degrees about 20 minutes.
  • 9 serve and enjoy with your favorite ice cream.
