- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 1 cup whole dried kasha
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth or 2 1/2 cups vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup dried apricot, coarsely chopped

Recipe
- 1 heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. add onion, kasha, and cinnamon; sautã© until onion starts to soften, about 3 minutes.
