Candy Apple Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 5 granny smith apples, peeled cored,sliced thin
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 crust:mix first 4 ingredients and press into a 10 inch pie pan up sides also.
  • 2 bake 375° for 6-8 minutes or golden.
  • 3 remove and cool.
  • 4 pour caramel in bottom of crust and sprinkle with pecans,chill.
  • 5 filling:in a large skillet melt butter add brown sugar,salt,cinnamon add apples cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender cool 10 minutes pour into pie shel.
  • 6 topping:with a mixer beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth add egg,lemon juice,and vanilla pour over apple filling.
  • 7 bake 30 minutes until knife comes out clean.
  • 8 let cool and chill 4 hours then room temp.
  • 9 30 minutes.
  • 10 topping:top with whipped cream caramel and pecans and swirl with a knife.
  • 11 slice and serve.
