Apple-spiced Rice

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
- 1 cup apple, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
- 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 inches long
Recipe
- 1 combine water and apple juice in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
- 2 stir in rice and remaining ingredients.
- 3 cover and reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- 4 remove and discard cinnamon sticks.
