Cinnamon Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half cream
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan over medium heat, stir together sugar and half and half.
- 2 when mixture begins to simmer remove from heat and slowly whisk into eggs. (pour hot cream mixture slowly, but whisk quickly so that you don't end up with scrambled eggs!).
- 3 pour mixture back into saucepan and stir in heavy cream.
- 4 continue cooking over medium low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- 5 remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and cinnamon.
- 6 let cool completely in refrigerator.
- 7 when cooled pour mixture into ice cream maker and freeze according to your ice cream makers instructions.
