Cinnamon Filberts

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb filberts (hazelnuts)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup margarine

Recipe

  • 1 toast filberts in shallow pan at 325, 10 minutes.
  • 2 beat egg until foamy.
  • 3 add sugar and cinnamon gradually and beat until stiff.
  • 4 add nuts and mix well.
  • 5 melt margarine in shallow pan.
  • 6 spread nut mixture over butter.
  • 7 bake at 325 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • 8 store in airtight container.
