Cinnamon Basmati Rice

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups water (or chicken stock)
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 whole cinnamon stick (or cassia)
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 bring water to a boil in saucepan. slowly add rice then cinnamon, cloves and cumin.
  • 2 cover and reduce to simmer. cook until rice is tender and water is absorbed, about 10- 15 minutes.
  • 3 remove from heat. fluff with a fork and serve.
